Update on Gordon’s Surgery

Thank you so much to all who prayed for my little boy, Gordon, who just had a ten hour surgery yesterday for a tumour in his spine. It was a gruelling day, but thanks be to God, the surgery was successful and he is on the road to recovery. Continued prayers for a complete recovery (without need of chemotherapy or radiation) and for his present comfort would be greatly appreciated!

God bless you and thanks again!

I also urged them to continue praying for him at home this week. Mother Mary will hold him in her tender embrace, and you as well.

  13. Dear “Sparky” —

I want you to know how shocked I was by the news of your son needing surgery to remove tumour in his spine. Poor little kid! I am relieved to know that his surgery went well, and I’m grateful that you took the time to inform your readers.

Please know that I will be praying for Gordon every day.

As well, I reprinted your letter on the page I always devote to your “Kid’s Bulletin”: please see page 7 of our Parish Bulletin attached. Soon dozens of our parishioners will be praying for his recovery as well!

Blessings on you,on all your fabulous work, and also on the soul of your friend, Nevan Dixon. I looked him up (I linked to his obituary), and it seems I have a distant memory of your mentioning him in one of your mailings, back in 2017 — is that possible?

May our loving God, whose generosity loves no bounds, answer all the fervent prayers for Gordon’s recovery… without chemotherapy!

    Laura
